It is a popular spot for kayaking and snorkelling. It is home to many sea lions and sea turtles as well as marine iguanas.
It has a beautiful white coral sand beach. It is home to many migratory and duck species. The sheltered cove is a perfect place to spot three shark species.

North Seymour Island
If you are looking for a great snorkeling experience, then North Seymour Island is one of the best spots in the Galapagos. It is a small island with flat terrain, located just off Baltra. It has an area of about 1.9 square kilometers.
There are many important marine animals on the island, including Hammerhead sharks and Green Sea Turtles. You can also find a large population of swallow-tailed gulls and tropicbirds, which nest on cliffs.
The waters around North Seymour have a high level of nutrients which helps to sustain healthy sea lion populations. You can also see the largest Frigatebird colony of the Galapagos. These birds are magnificent. These birds have bright red puffy throats that look almost like balloons.
Espanola
Espanola is a beautiful island in the Galapagos Islands. It is home to the Waved Albatross (a critically endangered bird). Originally listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, the species is being monitored by the Charles Darwin Foundation. The Waved Albatross, which has a wingspan between 2 and 2.5 meters, is the largest bird in Galapagos. It is threatened by global warming and fishing near the mainland.
The only known breeding area for the Waved Albatross is on Espanola. Incubation is shared by the pair. Each year, the two birds produce one egg. The entire colony leaves the island by January.
Suarez Point is one of Espanola's most famous wildlife spots. You will find the Blue-footed Booby and Nazca here, as well as Galapagos Doves (Darwin's Finches) and Galapagos Doves.
Charles Darwin Research Station
Located on the island of Santa Cruz, the Charles Darwin Research Station is an international scientific and conservation center. It is operated by the nonprofit Charles Darwin Foundation. It carries out educational projects in support of the conservation of the islands.
The Charles Darwin Research Station houses several scientific laboratories as well as a natural history interpretation centre. It also houses a library open to the public. You will find many exhibits about wildlife on the Galapagos Islands.
The station is home of large tortoises and land iguanas. These animals are used in research and protection. Babies tortoises less than two years old are particularly vulnerable to lack of water and food.
The giant tortoise is the most famous icon of the Galapagos Islands. They can live for 150 to 200 years. They have a variety of different shell shapes, and their neck extends significantly.
